Admiral is a sweet 55 lb male Plott Hound mixed with some kind of bully breed is the guess. He came to us with his sister from a high kill shelter in North Carolina, time was getting short, so we pulled him. As siblings usually are, he is the complete opposite of Tapestry! He is a sweet soul that just wants to be loved. We have been working on commands and he knows sit and is getting good at down and shake. He just wants to please. He is crate trained and has never messed in his crate or the house. As long as he knows you are in command, he does well on a leash. We have taken him for walks in parks and ask him to sit and wait while other dogs pass us by.He does get along with other dogs – he plays with all the dogs he has been introduced to, and gets along well with his foster buddies. He has such a sweet gentle nature that we should have named him Gentle Ben. Admiral takes treats gently and he has no resource guarding – you can take anything from him. When children come to the rescue, he perks up and wants to play with them or cozy up to them. We are thinking there must have been some children in his past. He is a little shy at first with adults, but warms up pretty quickly.
